Vigil Seafood Co. (“Vigil,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates vigilseafood.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

1. Information you provide to us

When you submit the Vigil Delivery reservation form, we collect the first name, last name, email address, town, and product interest you enter. If you contact us by email, we receive whatever information you include in your message.

If you sign up through an advertisement on Facebook or Instagram, that form is hosted by Meta rather than by us. Meta collects your information under its own privacy policy and provides it to us.

2. Information collected automatically

Our Site is built and hosted on the Wix platform. When you visit, Wix automatically collects technical information including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. Wix assigns a visitor identifier so that repeat visits can be recognized.

The Site also loads an error and performance monitoring service and a web font service, each of which receives your IP address as a necessary part of delivering content to your browser.

As of the date above, the Site does not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags, session-replay software, or third-party analytics platforms.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the Site to function, and analytics cookies set by our hosting platform to understand how the Site is used.

Where a consent banner is presented, non-essential cookies are not set until you accept them. We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract, including:

Wix, which hosts the Site, stores form submissions, and provides analytics.
Our email service provider, for sending messages you have asked to receive.
Meta Platforms, where you have submitted information through an advertisement hosted on Facebook or Instagram.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of Vigil Seafood Co. or others. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

6. Your choices and rights

You may at any time:

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
Ask us to delete your information.
Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message, or by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy law, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under such laws. To exercise any right, contact us using the details in Section 10. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

7. Data retention

We keep reservation and contact information for as long as needed to provide our services and to maintain a record of your relationship with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Technical and analytics data collected by our hosting platform is retained according to that platform’s standard retention periods.

8. Security

The Site is served over an encrypted connection, and our hosting platform maintains administrative and technical safeguards for the information it stores. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
