— What Is Land-Based Salmon?
Land-based salmon is exactly what it sounds like — salmon grown in tanks on land rather than in open net pens in the ocean. Fresh, filtered seawater flows through those tanks in a controlled, contained environment, which changes both how clean the fish is and how gently it's raised. Because the salmon never share water with the open sea, they aren't exposed to sea lice, wild-fish diseases, or ocean pollutants — so there's no need for antibiotics or chemical treatments, and no risk of farmed fish escaping and mixing with wild populations. That containment is better for you and better for the ocean: a cleaner fish on your plate, and no waste or disease flowing back into the marine ecosystem. — How often can I get my delivery?
As often as fits your table. Choose weekly, every other week, or once a month — and change or cancel anytime.
— Can I add to, pause, or hold my subscription?
Yes. We send a delivery reminder about a week ahead, so you can add extra salmon for house guests or a dinner party. Heading out of town? Pause for up to 30 days — you're still billed, and that delivery rolls into your next one. Away longer? Put your subscription on hold for up to six months for a $10/month admin fee. Just reach out and we'll set it up.
